Aw, the Democrats have run the same candidates time and time and time again. Really the pool of viable democrat candidates is small if you look back at who got the nomination for the past 120 years (president/vice president).

And Al Gore JUNIOR's dad tried to get the party nomination in the 1950s but failed (fellow Tennessee Senator Kefauver got a VP nod instead). I think that there may have been some connection between Kefauver's 1950s Senate hearings on sex and violence in comic books and Al Gore's own hearings in the 1980s on sex and violence in music.

Al Gore could be this generation's William Jennings Bryan.

You could be right. I was actually thinking that Johnny Kerry might get the dem nomination. As bad and traitorous as he is, he did almost win against an incumbant in time of war. I'm fairly certain that those who voted for him the first time would do it again if they could.
