I agree. From what I've read, Port security is still being controlled by the Coast Guard and cargo is still being inspected by U.S. Customs. I am by no means a Bushbot but I think this whole port deal is being blown out of proportion and like every other story of the day, it is being used as a political tool by both sides. Arab interests have been buying up quite a bit of prime real estate in NYC over the past decade, this is not new. In my opinion, the Mexican border is a much bigger security issue.
Anything that keeps the Congress from imposing the shamnesty on us ok by me.
Even if it no big deal, and is blown out of proportion, the administration must realise how this is going to go down with the public...people tend to vote on how they perceive things, not necessarily on how things really are.
