"The site is sacred to Shia, because they believe Iman al Mehdi will appear at the mosque, bringing them salvation.

Al Mehdi is the 12th and final awaited Imam in Shia Islam."

This must throw a bit of a wrench in the President of Iran's plans . He was waiting for this guy and now the mosque is gone .
You look at the rubble and it looks like the interior is made of sand. Must be why they call it "the Sand Box" ?
So now shall we see the Shia really freaking out? How much more serious than a few cartoons is this ? But just watch , nothing.....the cartoons will have brought a stronger response in the Islamic world.

This is pretty damn serious.

Supposedly, relatives of Mohammed where buried under the mosque as well as it being the place the shia believed the 12th Imam was going to appear.

This is not a good situation.

It's a disaster.

The Shia have been holding back and working quietly against the Sunni extremists. Now their most holy shrine,(and they only have one) is a pile of rubble after surviving over 1400 years.

This situation is going to get unpredictable, ugly and very quickly.

Iran is going to pay dearly for this little adventure. Without any help from the west.

This is the equivalent of Israel blowing up Al Aksa.

This incident has now emerged as a worldwide Sunni, Shia war of extinction.

Fasten your seat belts folks and bring out the popcorn. It's going to be a rough ride.

"Al Mehdi is the 12th and final awaited Iman in Shia Islam. He is the son of Iman Hasan al Askari, the 11th Iman, buried in the shrine. His grandfather, the 10th Iman, is also buried there."

Interesting ... Jews and Christians wait on the return of the Messiah. For Christians this is Christ. Here the Shites await on Satan's return. Surely Christ will be returning soon. When their Iman returns is when all hell breaks loose. We are living in prophetic times.

Well, there is another explanation. The Mahdi showed up and his suicide belt went off prematurely.

I thought the President of Iran thought HE was the 12th and final Iman. Now, what?!

My wife says, "Well we should have waited till he showed up to blow up the mosque." I told her we didn't blow it up. She's still convinced we did it so the Iraqi's would erupt and have something to do to keep themselves busy ( civil war ) while we were off flattening Iran.

LOL.
