9/11 and Beslan showed me long ago.

Had someone from Leningrad blown up the Kremlin during the cold war, I'd have shed no tears then either. Enemies are enemies.

The IRaqis are not our enemies. For all these folks that want to engage on a war on Islam please tell me your battleplan. Shall we nuke the entire region. Radiations poisioning to kill the rest of "them" off. Or shall we do it the old fashion way and get the draft back and draft everyone the age of 50.

And irreplaceable architectural gems are irreplaceable architectural gems.

Anytime a beautiful building is destroyed - its a loss for the entire world.

Your comments are reminiscent of the old "Ugly America" stereotype - "If it ain't in the good ole US of A then I don't give a flying fig".

I suppose that if you didn't like Italians, you wouldn't care if St. Peters or the Coliseum were blown up. Or if you don't like the French - then you wouldn't care if the Eiffel tower were toppled. Sheesh!
