With more reading of the Wikipedia site I found this.

"On September 22, 2001, as the U.S. blamed Osama bin Laden and his hosts, the Taliban, for the September 11, 2001 attacks, the United Arab Emirates and later Saudi Arabia withdrew their recognition of the Taliban as the legal government of Afghanistan, leaving neighboring Pakistan as the only remaining country with diplomatic ties."

So again we do not hear the whole story. We must look back to see the facts.

With all due respect, I think this misses the point...big time.

Why did UAE and SA wait until AFTER 9/11 to withdraw recognition?

Why not after:

1998 Embassy Bombings...

or

2000 USS Cole Bombing...

or

2001 Suicide Bomb Attack on Ahmed Shah Masood....

A lot of bin Laden / al-Qaeda / Taliban terrorism prior to 9/11.
