An operation was underway tonight to capture the fugitive Serbian general Ratko Mladic - one of the world's most wanted war crimes suspects for his role in the Bosnian war.
A senior Serbian state security official told the Associated Press that he been located and authorities were negotiating his surrender, some 10 years after he was first indicted by the UN.
Gen Mladic was located but "he has yet not been arrested," said the official, who is close to the arrest operation. The commander was in charge of Serbian troops accused of ethnic cleansing in the 1992-1995 war and the massacre at Srebrenica in 1995.

Do we still have troops in the Balkins?
If so, someone might ask the junior sentator from N.Y. when these troops will be coming home.
To: aculeus
This may be a hoax. There are widely conflicing reports.

I wish they would pay a little more attention to all those Albanian mobsters who are killing people and burning churches under the UN's nose in Kosovo.
But the Serbs have evidently been picked by the left to be the designated Nazis in this situation, so that's all they care about.

Well, time reveals everything. In a day or two it will be known for sure.

I think the hoax part is that he'd already been arrested.

Ratko is a hero! Screw the UN. Hell the US doesn't even recognize the authority of the Hague court. This is a Clinton joke of a legacy.

Ratko is a hero? What a MAROOON! War criminal, butchered hundreds of thousands, and you call him a war hero.
To: NYC Republican
I'm with you. Neither side was exactly clean but Ratko is an animal as sure as saddam hussein. There's nothing heroic about making people dig their own graves (men women and children) then executing them.

You should stick to subject that you might have a little more knowledge on like or cars or baseball. All that you think you know you just regurgitate from the media, which makes you the MAROOON!!

You are suffering from massive brain malfunction or you are simply another muslim who is looking to spread the islamic lies about the Serbs...and everything else for that matter. Many mooselimbs who were reported "killed" by the islamic propaganda machines were found back at the front lines by the Red Cross.
I suppose the muslims who do whatever it takes to push out Christians and Jews from areas so they can take it over and make it a muslim state are poor little innocent muslims too right?
Remember and know well that Alia Izetbegovic had intentions long ago to "clean the Balkans of all Christians and Jews" when we wrote his book Islamic Declaration in the late 50's. He was the innocent Muslim President of Bosnia and the follower of poor little innocent Hitler.
You muslims want to play on the sympathies of the world but your true intentions are well known. islamic government and subjugation of all those who reject islam and its law.
Us infidels are so bad.

Enough with the Muslim excuses, Americans don't like war criminals, period. We didn't like them at Malmedy or Srebenica. STFU already.
To: Joey Silvera
Another one who has no clue. You have about as much sense as an ox. All one has to do is call someone a war criminal and boom that's enough for you. What an idiot.
Please don't call yourself an American or speak on behalf of other more intelligent Americans. It's insulting.

He is not an American - he's an Australian - and probably one who descended from the Croat Ustashe. The were the real war criminals who were given refuge all over the world.
