Anybody know what the slang name for this bird will be? We have the F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, the F-16 Falcon, F-22 Raptor...and the F-35 JSF. The name has to be cool, ya know?

No. This is a complimentary aircraft that will be in three variants. One will be a STOVL (short take off, vertical landing)variant, but will not have too much in common with the F-22.

Your picture looks like F-22, not F-35.

Here is the F-22. Totally differant aircraft.F-22 would dominate the F-35 in air to air combat.

yup, you are right -- it
looks like a F-22, but that is because the F-35, well,
looks like a F-22!
you will however see that it somehow looks 'stubbier' than the real F-22, which is a bit more graceful meethinks...

Now that's a cool handle. I was thinking of the F-35 'Punisher' or F-35 'Vengence'

I'd like to see one of these stop an IED.
Till then, what are we going to use it for?
Most - if not all - of our enemies now know that the way to beat us militarily (found this out back in the 60s, but I guess we forgot) is to take the following steps:
1. Get a dim into the whitehouse
2. Get a majority of dims in congress
3. Attack the US Military with an "army" of scrubs and bums. When they die, so what.
4. Have the trained army "melt" into the civilian population.
5. Do enough damage to the US forces with IEDs and the like to keep the media selling their papers and gaining their rating points.
6. Then just sit back and relax and watch the US implode.
Simple
