Divine providence is the excuse they use to perform their atrocities. Once you say "God's will" you are capable of anything, with bad results depending on what those in power say God's will is (according to their personal agenda), and how many people they can get to believe them.

Divine Providence is not a concept. It is an act by God embuing the believer to withstand intolerance. The inability of Muslims to be at peace with perceived injustice demonstrates their failure to receive divine providence. The Lord provides all that the believer needs to overcome evil. Doing evil in the face of evil is an act of unbelievers, not the faithful.
