"What book doesn't have sexual content?"

Are you kidding?! Is that supposed to be a reasonable argument for pushing more sexuality into the lives of 9th graders? Don't read much do you?

I know for a fact that Jake Barnes doesn't have sex with Lady Ashley in Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises!

Yeah I don't read very much. I guess there is no sexual content in "The Scarlett Letter," and "The Great Gatsby", which is what I read in high school. All Shakespeare and a lot of British poetry has sexual content. Have you ever read Keats "On the Eve of St. Agnes?" Guess what, is about sex. Have you ever read John Donne? Guess what, that poem "The Flea" isn't really about a flea. What about "The Sun Also Rises?" Did you pick up on any sexual content there? No sex in Greek mythology either. No sex in history. Lets just ban any mention of it around children, and then tell them on their 21st birthday that they were not actually brough by a stork.
