Ice dancing---the minor teams are skating now.
I guess I'm in the minority. All the couples seem to be using haunting music (Romeo and Juliet, etc.). Which is fine. Perhaps it has something to do with the program being so long..much longer than I remembered. I guess it would be hard to jitterbug for that long.

Actually I thought that the American couple's program was very pleasant.

LOL....don't feel bad....for me, it was that one song for the French couple...
I didn't like the Romeo & Juliet....so, ALL slow, sad songs aren't the same TO ME...

ROFL! Maybe we'll have the first figure skating brawl on the ice tonight. It could start a whole new event program.

That's really sad to see the Italian couple like that. Okay, it's the Olympics, but they had to know that their lives were going to go on afterward, one way or the other.

Didn't they come out of retirement to skate try out for the Olympics?

Well... they shouldn't have tried to buy a gold medal. It made the skating gods very mad.

We have accents?
To: mass55th
Yes, they did. They had retired in 2001. Still, life goes on. What is the measure of a person's life? Do they really want their lives to be defined by the mistake of a split second? It seems to be so, and to me that's just tragic.

Have you seen how this Italian couple is ignoring each other? She began it all last night and now he's not talking to her either. This should be an interesting dance.

It is tragic. To be angry with each other over a fall. How petty.
