If Carter had not already been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, this could be written off as trying to score points with the Norwegians on the Nobel Peace Prize committee, but since the prize is never awarded twice, this must be what he really thinks.
Carter is consistent. He's as much a failure as an ex-president as he was as president. If he had any sense of shame he'd go into hiding on the peanut farm. His disgraceful and incompetent handling of the hostage crisis when Americans were held for more than a year by Khomeini of Iran is partly responsible for Iran's (and other Islamic nations) belief that America is a paper tiger.
