Doesn't matter darlin' how we view it....There are lots of 'religions' that can get tagged with some of the same slams.
We can't destroy the constitution.
If we do that, even if we destroy every last one of them, wiped every mosque off the face of the earth and bomb Mecca and Medina to glass...
If that happens, then they've won and we've lost.
Simple as that.
Ummm, I fail to see how is that. Arguments aside whether there's any 'destroying' of the constitution going on, if we destroy Islam we win.
After that, we could all just go back to our normal ways. Yes, and pretend nothing happened. :)
I don't sdvocate destroying the Constitution (or rather, what's left of it). I don't see this a s a constitutional issue.
I see it as a matter of the survival of western civilization, which is being confronted by a virulent ideology totally inimical to all secular, rationalist, Western society stands for. You know, things like 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness'.
The Constitution, it's been said, is NOT a suicide pact. From time time we have bent the rules in the name of national security or national survival.
It's my belief that the same Federal Government that can be used to incinerate 80 Christians in a Church in Waco (after 51 days of armed siege), or kidnap a child on live television so that he can be shipped back to Cuba, is perfectly capable of acting in the same fashion against a REAL threat. And that threat is not going to be squashed with touchy-feely plattitudes or ethnic studies.
Thanks to those who want to protect our enemy, we have already lost. Lost freedoms on airplanes, trains, government buildings, sporting events. Billion$ of dollars taken away from taxpaying US Citizens so these bastards can hide behind a false curtain of religion and plot their overthrow of everything this country used to stand for.
Laws are made for the government of actions, and while they cannot interfere with mere religious belief and opinions, they may with practices...[Reynolds v. United States, 98 U.S. 145, 8 Otto 145, 24 L. Ed. 244 (1878).]
Under the guise of freedom of religion, no man may become a law unto himself.
The RICO Act should be applied, their assets and property seized just like other racist and violent nut-job groups. They seek to supplant the Constitution with their own laws.
The First Amendment does not give you the right to commit ritual murder... nor is it a suicide pact.
(Personally, I would prefer to end it completely. Islam cannot exist without Mecca.)
