The standard reply is the "Nationalize" (meaning steal) the property of the other nation, but I am concerned that the true purchaser is a prince or group of wealthy individuals, not a "government" as we think of it. Having said that, if we nationalize those assets, would we nationalize something owned by a group of individuals, however they organize themselves?

The answer is "no," we would not.

The problem is that if management of the new owners has one pro-Al Queda person in the human resources department, then he could hire just enough people on his side to do all of the damage that they wanted to do. It would not be an obviously terrorist organization, because to do that would defeat the purpose.

One person in charge of checking one container at just the right time is all that is needed to do this.

Remember that those who support terrorism against us do not believe it is wrong to lie or to be dishonest with an infidel, or even another Muslim if it will advance the cause.

The conduct of business in the middle east is based on principles that we would not tolerate, and we are fools to allow them to control such an important industrial sector.

The British have not been terrorists on our soils since 1812, so I do not at all see the similarities between their foreign ownership and the Dubai ownership.

The fact it is foreign ownership is not the problem, it is selling it to a group that has such close ties with Terrorists. I know this has not been proven in public, but we must error on the side of caution. The Dubai group must be able to prove its bona fides before this could happen, and Secretary Chertoff's statements are not enough for me.

Did you see DP World to borrow $6.5b to fund P&O acquisition and the rest of Post 42?
