Do honest people have the capability of hacking websites?
I think that we are drawing the vermin out of their holes.

Yes. There are people who are employed as Penetration Testers. Their job is to hack systems to find the holes so that the system administrators can patch those holes before a malicious hacker finds them and exploits them for nefarious purposes. However, honest people don't deface websites or use their skills illegally.
Yes, especially if you have run an anti-terrorist forum before and have seen and just about every dirty trick in the book and have had to learn to counter them. ;o)
