left "lawng Guylant" to enlist after HS in 1977. Never looked or came back for a myriad of reasons. Only returned on yearly visits in the past 5 years.

I have lost my accent: I sound like a visitor/tourist when I return. I just shake my head at the attitude and how many who live Garden City/ North Shore look down on the rest of the country.

My family are certified Nassau County RINOS- They think I am a mouth breathing, Bible thumping, uneducated (MS/MBA) redneck because

I live in a rural area (soon to be suburban)
Own firearms (gasp)
Am pro life
Am no longer Catholic (Lutheran)
Believe in the Constitution
Suport the President

Go figure....

If you want prove come to Dallas and I'll take you of a tour of DART stations and adjoining neighborhoods.

Downtown Dallas is one thing, there is a lot of new construction and condos, especially around the AAC area. I think what Peyton was referring to were places like Plano.
