"Moonbats are always attracted to dictators."
And yet moonbats don't like to be told what to do ..its very ironic...
Venezuela was a democracy with some corruption. then they became one party state rapidly on the way to becoming a one man rule - it's exactly the sort of people cheering this on who would be the first to go down if they lived there.

Nah, they all imagine themselves being the minister of culture in such a state. They would in any case be the kind of lap-dog sycophants who sell their soul for a sinecure rather than speak honestly and end up in front of the firing squad.
I just wonder if Chomsky, who once praised the genocidal dictators of Cambodia (Khmer Rouge), believes his own lies here, or if in his heart he knows this is bunk and is just saying it to tear down on USA, which he apparently hates with a passion?

I think they think that when the commies are in charge, they are going to turn to the bats and put them in charge of telling people what to do. History will show that they put the "intellectuals" up against a wall and shoot them first.
