The problem is that he HAS to say this, because if he actually said Islam is a murderous cult all of our efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan would go to hell in a handbasket.

I basically agree with you. I just can't understand why Condi said it was a religion of peace AND LOVE! It sounded more like fear and appeasement than good diplomacy.
The problem of islam will have to be addressed at some point, all we are doing is plugging holes in the dam that is holding this problem back which is springing bigger and bigger leaks every day. At some point we will have to get to the point and attack the real problem....islam. The longer we wait the bigger the weapons islam has an opportunity to obtain.
We let no other religion that calls for the murder of others survive, there is no reasoning that should allow this one survive unless we were wrong to wipe out the other murdering religions.
Exactly right. One of the way to swell the numbers of the Islamofascists, the ones that do full-time terror work, is to start the whole religion of Islam names.
Right now it's a small fraction of the huge population of Muslims that plant bombs. We really don't ALL the Muslims to start planting bombs, do we?
