MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff

LATE EDITION (CNN) : Chertoff; British ambassador to the United States David Manning, German ambassador to the U.S. Wolfgang Ischinger and French ambassador to the U.S. Jean-David Levitte; retired Army Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton, formerly in charge of Iraqi army training.
I suspect Rush will have the tape of Alan Simpson at the top of his show or soon therafter.
He might have watched Brit Hume's interview & why it was praised by everybody. You can ask tough questions while showing respect for the guest and wanting to hear the guest without grand standing.
You are correct. The press cannot stand having an ethical White House. There is one indictment and this is the first administration that has not had numerous indictments over something. The media and Democrats have used the "everybody does it" excuse for so long that they are surprised it isn't so.
That is exactly it, and I bet Tomlin's "Ernestine" was inspired by the same social-climbing, wannabe mindset.
But her chest is certainly not flat.
LOL.
Bayh's $$s from last year for his presidential run. While they claim he has a great start, he has a way to go to catch up w Hill.

Bayh Brings in the Dollars
Evan Bayh is bringing in the money, and making some strategic donations along the way. The New Year brings with it the time for candidates to turn in their year-end financial reports, and The Hotline got an early scoop on Bayh's numbers. They are reporting that Evan Bayh brought in more than $3 million this year which brings his total campaign account to $9.5 million.
In typical '08 hopeful fashion, Bayh is using his campaign account to accumulate a bankroll for a potential presidential race and is using his PAC to earn chits with Dems across the country.
Bayh's PAC contributed the maximum to NH Gov. John Lynch and NJ Gov. Jon Corzine. It gave $15k to the DSCC, 10K to the NH Dem party, money to the Blackhawk Co. Dem Party in IA and $25K to home-state Dems in Indiana's house. Bayh also contributed to several IA legislative campaigns.
For a comparison...Here are the totals raised by other candidates who ran in the 2004 election cycle. Keep in mind, these are totals for the entire primaries.
Senator Evan Bayh - $9,500,000 (Two Years before the New Hampshire Primary)
Bob Grahm - $5,086,527
Dennis Kucinich- $13,233,597
Joe Lieberman - $19,065,173
Dick Gephardt - $21,691,129
Wes Clark - $29,586,661
John Edwards - $33,598,218
Howard Dean - $52,968,040
Looks like Senator Bayh is well on his way financially.

In Wallace's blurb, he gushes at ...how attractive a man Mitt Romney is... and he has tried everything to get Carr to remove it. Carr often asks Wallace if he knows about certain hot, conservative stories... stuff that Rush listeners & FReepers already know.
99% of the time, Wallace draws a blank... proof that the apple doesn't fall that far from the tree.
I don't think Muhammad Ali in his prime ever scored two KO's against two opponents in the same ring at the same time as Mary did this morning.
Agreed, that and the mantra at the time was Bush was a dummy and Cheney was running everything. They are tied into that perception. They are giddy for going after Cheney as well, thinking they have to get rid of him before going after GWB.
(Seems the left is still using the Nixon playbook.)
You have the new tagline.
GREAT!!!
That would be dynamite.......... so, they won't do it.
My goodness I miss Alan Simpson. His honesty and humor is such a breath of fresh air!
Alan Simpson gets a bit tiresome with his worn out, down home sayings, and trying to be a wise old sage of the west, but man oh man, he was fabulous this morning on FOX, as Cheney's old Wyoming friend. So good, I forgot to take notes!!!!!!!
While the shooting isn't part of the Republican message, it is right in line with the plan. And the intentional baiting of the media to motivate the base is Rove's genius.
I hope old media doesn't pick up on this.
I rarely watch MTP due to its being on at the same time as FNS. Today, it was leading by 30 minutes. Mary did a great job, as did Paul.
Because she said that no one saw Harry in the brush when the shooting occured .. and because the VP admitting he shot Harry
Chrissy also claims she lied because she said she wasn't aware of any drinking the day of the hunting .. but then the VP admitted in the interview he had a beer at lunch
