Even if all these Republicans were to lose, they still would have a slim majority. I suspect most of them will win though. Of course there probably are other GOP incumbents in trouble but there are several Demo seats that are not secure either. With a little luck and a great turnout effort like the one in 2004, the Republicans should hold the House. It will take a big effort and a lot of $$ though.

No argument from me. My favorite Ronnie Earle moment was when he tried to take out Kay Bailey Hutchison by claiming she used government phones for campaign purposes, and she subpoenaed Ann Richards phone records. Supposedly, Ann had just installed ten lines in the governor's mansion, and had a phone bank going soliciting campaign contributions, all at government expense. Ann spent all night shredding then called Earle in and read him the riot act. Earle refused to drop charges, then also refused to present his prosecution case at the trial.
