Hillary Clinton Looks Like a 2008 Candidate (Propaganda Alert)
ABC News ^ | February 17, 2006 | Staff

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., simultaneously one of the most revered and reviled people in the country, is the subject of perhaps the most burning question in politics: Will she run for president?

[snip]Clinton, however, insists she hasn't made up her mind, but she's sure acting like a presidential candidate. This month, Clinton, who's up for re-election in New York in nine months, will be campaigning — in Florida.

[snip]"I predict this administration will go down in history as one of the worst that has ever governed our country." -

"When you look at the way the House of Representatives has been run, [it's] like a plantation. And you know what I'm talking about." -

"Contrary to … Franklin Roosevelt, who had nothing to fear but fear itself, this [GOP] crowd is all: '[What] we got is fear, and we're going to keep playing the fear card.' "

Will she run in '06 to retain her senate seat? If she leaves that to run for the White House who will replace her? Why return her at all - give the job to someone who really, really cares about New York State and the people.

See how she lies, she will pull a John Kerry and not give up her Senate seat when she runs in '08.

More ABC "News" propaganda for the Clintons. Another suck-up "story". ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NPR, PBS = the DNC.

Only 16% will definitely vote for her - that doesn't sound very "revered" to me - and with 51% definitely WILL NOT VOTE FOR HER - the "reviled" is accurate.

She will run. How else will Bill continue to get fancy foreign trips? She needs to build up her nest egg and running is the best way to do it. I can't wait to see the democrats dis each other in the primaries.

It's rare for an officeholder to surrender his current office while campaigning for another--Bob Dole's action in resigning from the Senate in 1996 was very unusual. George W. Bush did not resign his governorship until after the collapse of Gore's attempt to steal the Florida electoral votes.

What's more controversial is when a person runs for re-election to the Senate while also running for President, or for Vice President, as LBJ did in 1960.

With her numbers, I want her to run. If the polling is anywhere accurate it would mean a republican sweep of the WH and Congress, governor ships, right down to the local dog catchers. You always want the other side to run with the weakest candidate possible and it would appear to be PIAPS. I say you go for it girl!

Some people make a very good case when they run on their record, but for Herself, 'twould be better Herself runs away from the established record. Not that Herself's record is all that glorious. There just isn't very much either positive or negative, and NOTHING of originality or wisdom.

"I can't wait to see the democrats dis each other in the primaries."

That is definitely my favorite part!

Question for you, do you think she'll run, knowing that she won't be elected, but just for the money she'll be able to sock away? Interesting and very valid point, and one I hadn't thought of.
