I just caught the tail end of that Shani Davis interview where the commentator was saying "That's not the kind of interview you expect from a gold medal winner." What did Davis say?
It's mainly what he didn't say. He had a stone cold look of anger on his face and gave the interviewer extremely short answers such as (paraphrasing):
"You just won the gold medal. What a great effort. How do you feel? What was going through your mind?"
"I feel fine." (emotionless stare)
... and on from there in similar fashion.
"What did Davis say?"
He acted like a robot. No smile. No emotion. A flat voice. Standoffish answers to the "how does it feel to win a gold medal" type soft questions they always ask.
