Byron York.....the whole thing was set up....The victim speaks right before the shooter speaks. Totally coordinated. Why does Fox insist on only showing one point of view? What happened to fair and balanced?
Never mind....smacking myself! It's the media...duh

I am NOT interested in the FOX rehash of what we've been through. I want to HEAR VP Cheney.

Precisely. The VPOTUS of the US couldn't POSSIBLY have anything else important to say, nothing the public would like to hear.

Since Sunday, I've said that the VP will never forgive himself. Much as it's upset me thinking about what he is going through, it must be pure anguish for Lynn.

I could listen to a real Texan read the phone book. No one can ever guess where I'm from because of my northwest, Louisiana cajun, and now some Texan accent all blended together - my last doctor thought I was a foreigner. :o)

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) - The lawyer shot by Vice President Dick Cheney during a hunting trip was being discharged from a hospital on Friday and told reporters he was sorry for all the trouble Cheney had faced over the past week.
"We all assume certain risks in what we do, in what activities we pursue," Whittington, 78, said as he stood out the hospital in a suit, his face clearly bruised.
Whittington expressed his regret for the scrutiny that Cheney experienced this week since the shooting last weekend while the two were quail hunting on a private ranch in south Texas.
"We are deeply sorry for what Vice President Cheney had to go through this week," Whittington said, appearing emotional in front of television cameras.
"Accidents do and will happen," Whittington said, "and that's what happened."
