Actually, the porch that is on this cottage makes for another living room. We have a huge porch and use it for just about everything but bathing and sleeping, and sometimes I sneak a nap on the swing. We even have a rug and curtains.

It looks like the New Orleans "
shotgun houses" built from after the civil war through the 1920s. "This Old House" renovated one of these once. They are small and traditional to New Orleans.
