Dear Kofi,

History will not be kind to you. Your grandchildren will be embarrassed to carry your name, which will be forever associated with the worst forms of theft, corruption, and murder.

If you don't believe that this will happen, you are seriously deluding yourself. Already one of your children is following in your footsteps. I hope you are proud of your legacy.

Bob Schieffer on CBS damn near had an orgasm reporting this tonight. David Martin did the report, and you would've thought God himself had descended and handed him this report.

They must have mentioned 10 times in a minute that most of the prisoners "have yet to be charged"

I don't think Antartica.. but since Bolton sez the top 10 floors of the UN building wouldn't be missed... perhaps they could be utilized as holding places for the terrorists. After all it is considered not in the US..

OK, so this is a hypothetical:

Given a choice, who would prefer an absolute withdrawal (every freakin' nickel's worth) unconditionally from the U.N. for the next five years, or the absolute closure of the border for the next five years if you were assigned the power to do so?

Just curious.

I think that we do need to shut down a camp, but it's on the lower east side of Manhatten. I think that it would make good public housing.

You know I was trying to think of joke that went like; "Having Cuba on the human rights committee of the UN was like..." and then I remembered, that IS the punch line!

"....because it is effectively a torture camp where prisoners have no access to justice."

Well, if the U.N. insists on justice - we'll simply have to shoot the bastards and be done with them..

we will happily abandon Gitmo, and move our detainees to a new camp in Antartica

No, no, no...the UN says we must refrain from sending the detainees anyplace where they may be in danger of being tortured. They also want us to train our people on cultural issues to enhance sensitivity and give the detainees $$$$$$. /gag

Yes, with a smug attitude, and a 5 sec. Mclellan sound bite at the end of the 2 min segment.

Sounds like a good compromise. We shut down Gitmo, cause it's disliked by diaper-heads and their whores; and the UN will shut down, cause it's a worthless conglomeration of corrupt money-hounding scum.

I say it's time to shut down the United Nothing. Give the corrupt b****ds 72 hours to clearout and leave the U.S. or the building is coming down around them. We have seen how lax the rest of the world is with terrorists. Yemen,Germany etc...

Here's the deal, Coffee: we'll close Gitmo if you close down First Avenue at 46th Street.

Despite the substantial informational material presented by the United States to the Special Rapporteurs in 2005 regarding Guantanamo and the offer to three of the Special Rapporteurs to visit the facility to observe first hand the conditions of detention, there is little evidence in the Unedited Report that the Special Rapporteurs have considered the information provided by the United States. We offered the Special Rapporteurs unprecedented access to Guantanamo, similar to that which we provide to U.S. congressional delegations. It is particularly unfortunate that the Special Rapporteurs rejected the invitation and that their Unedited Report does not reflect the direct, personal knowledge that this visit would have provided.
