Both districts are GOP leaning. The Dems have recruited an Iraqi War Veteran (in the Murtha mold)to run in the CO district.

So, the question for Democrats becomes are they compromising principles in order to win an election? Democrats are outsmarting themselves. Local elections including veterans can easily backfire on them. Yes, these candidates may be opposed to the war in Iraq, but are they against our country defending ourselves? Are they now supporting the UN being over US foreign policy?
I realize there are something over fifty Democrat candidates who are ex-militay and running for office. But, this is a desperate, late minute attempt to save them from themselves.

These districts are not GOP-leaning. They are GOP-dominant.
