The following is a translation of portions of one pivotal tape-recorded meeting that took place in late April or May of 1995. In it, Saddam Hussein and his senior aides discuss the fact that United Nations inspectors had uncovered evidence of Iraq's biological weapons program a program whose existence Iraq had previously denied. At one point, Hussein Kamel, Saddam's son-in-law, and the man who was in charge of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction efforts can be heard speaking openly about hiding information from the U.N.
SADDAM HUSSEIN: Lieutenant General Hussein
HUSSEIN KAMEL: Thank you, sir.
Sir, I would not be speaking so openly if it were not for your excellency's and Mr. Tariq's clarification and statement that we produced biological weapons.
We did not reveal all that we have. On the subject of missiles, they can bring up three issues with us now, in one year or in two years' time. They are undeclared one of them being the location. Secondly, they don't know about our work in the domain of missiles. Sir, this is my work and I know it very well. I started it a long time ago, and it is not easy. The issues are more dangerous, a lot more dangerous than what they came to know. I am explaining to your excellency, sir.

I say be sure to give hits to the source as this will only encourage the LSM to publish more on this info.
Ask Paris Hilton.
Like I said, people need to be sure to give these articles lots of hits. It's the only way the LSM might get a clue they need to keep digging and publishing in this direction.
Now why would Bush want to keep these tapes secret? What is the LSM theory on THAT?
Fortunately, Brian Ross doesn't get to decide what the American people think the tape proves and does not prove.
The info just needs to get out there. I am confident that any doubt will be resolved against the Butcher of Baghdad.
INteresting---were you kidding or serious that Arabic is easy to learn?
Because they think they can do it without getting caught.
Lots of Israelis are bilingual, then there are the Lebanese Christians and the Palestinian Christians, and the Iraqi Chaldean Chrisitans, and then plenty of Iraqis who should be on our side.
So why don't they have more translators? Beats me.
... and you probably found this morning what I did ... Nothing!
When is the SPECIAL going to be on...I haven't seen anything....LOL they probably can't find anyone to host it.....really LOL
How do we know these tapes and transcripts are legitimate? It's only Bush & Co trying desperately to conceal the truth about the lack of WMD in Iraq. Bush lied before and now he has to make up more lies because of his dropping popularity and the culture of corruption he is leading in Washington. These tapes aren't proof and were likey obtained without FISA approval. It's all just a smoke screen.

I go back to the question of whether we should reveal everything or continue to be silent. Sir, since the meeting has taken this direction, I would say it is in our interest not to reveal. Not just out of fear of disclosing the technology we achieved, or to hide it for future work. No. The game has gone on for too long. And now it has become clear to many officials of countries that are coerced to work with America
We need more tapes translated.
Now there is some sarcasm that made me smile. Thanks.
I heard the guy (ex-Warrant officer) on the radio last night who trnaslated these tapes. He was taking about how difficult it was to get anyone to pay attention to him. He sent a report to the FBI and the DOD. He's supposed to present these at an intelligence conference this week.
I'm from Canada and attended college there, too. I had to learn the language in order to survive! Thank goodness conservatism is socially acceptable in most parts of the U.S.!
The NY Post has an article on this as well.
