Cheney acknowledged having a beer at lunch on the day of the shooting incident.

The horror.

Once they take the alcohol angle as far as it will go..they will the have to resort to the longer term angle.
Cheney's pal is no spring chicken...if he doesn't die in the near future, he will die in the not-so near future.
When he does eventually die - there will be a new "scandal" as to the cause of death, and calls for the investigation of Cheny on manslaughter.

I enjoyed Mary M's facial expressions as Katie was reading her scripted questions.

How sleazy can NBC get? Not only did Brit Hume report the beer on Fox, but Cheney himself was shown on Fox saying he had had a beer. Brit will probably comment on the NBC treatment tonight.

Sign seen in 1979 in front of a convenience store on the Mighigan backroads.

Beer. Wine. Ammo.

Oh, MY WORD!!! The VP was DRUNK and wandering around with a loaded shotgun!! We are ALL doomed! VP Cheney MIGHT accidentally get hold of the football and press the launch button! ARREST him immediately!!!

Now...the next big question: Was Slick sniffing the white stuff BEFORE the "under the desk" episode or after? Was he snorting the white stuff before or after the cigar episode? Was he...oh, you get the picture.

How in the world "governs" manages to watch this crap and remain sane is beyond me.

You know.... I've not commented on this crazy thing. But a couple of things seem true. 1) he'd be in deep trouble if the guy had been killed. (even being an accident) 2) If he had been in Washington doing his job, or trying to figure out how to find Osama, or trying to figure out how to get the WMD's that went to Syria instead of being on a boondoogle none of this would have happened.

"If anyone is hiding facts from viewers, it is NBC News and the Today show."

Stop the Presses!
Breaking news: NBC Mis-Leads!!!

(do I need a "/sarcasm" tag on this?)

Kelly O'Donnell is an unabashed left-wing anti-Bush angry liberal. During the 04 campaign she ran the worst Bush bashing pieces I ever saw, with the exception of Dan Rather's and Mary Mapes' debacle.

The interview between Couric and Mary Matlin was priceless, IMO.

I love it when Matlin rolls her eyes while Couric spews.

Matlin said that she heard 4 different versions of the event and defended Cheney's decision to allow Ms. Armstrong to notify the local press....since she was an eyewitness.

When Katie cited the LA Times, and Chency's penchant for secrecy, Matlin rolled her eyes. Priceless.

You know, I used to lament the fact that there were only 3 channels on TV. Now I haven't watched television in over 2 years and I don't miss it at all!

FOX should sue her and NBC for multiple millions unless she publicly and prominently apologizes.

FOX NEWS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT BRIT WILL BE COMING ON SOON TO DISCUSS REACTION TO THE INTERVIEW.

Let's see if he mentions Today's misleading report.

So what if he did have a beer? It was ONE BEER, with food, several hours before the incident. That said, the story is BS anyway.

"The official White House transcript of the interview shows Cheney said 'I had a beer at lunch.' Fox News did not show that particular clip during Brit Hume's program."

I wasn't sure who reported it this morning but it certainly stopped me in my tracks when I heard it. They will clutch at any straw to make this bigger than it is even with the public ho humming it. For Joe Klein to tell Scarborough that the press is over reaching and should stop, speaks volumes.
