"In oklahoma.... if you're hunting without a license.... you can lose your truck that's parked there, your guns, and there is a STEEP fine. And depending on what you shoot and if it's in season or not.... the fine ramps up and it can include a period of time in the county jail."
And this all happens on PRIVATE land? With the permission of the landowner? This was a private owner's property, in Texas. I feel sure if I were driving around a couple of quaint little developments here in Amarillo and taking potshots at their grazing deer, I WOULD deserve arrest.
Wandering around a huge, private piece of land (where those danged little quail just thrive) without a $7 license is another story.
But then, of course, Oklahoma is Oklahoma. Here in Texas we pay $60 to register the SUV for a year. Oklahoma is about $700 (+-).
Everyone should Email Brit to let him know about this incident and what they think about NBC in this case.
If it ain't stamped it means it ain't valid. And it means he didn't have a valid license.
In oklahoma nobody hunts on public land. Do you guys hunt on public land in Texas???
My inlaws own a ranch in SE Oklahoma. If I shoot a deer down there on their private property, with their permission .... and I have no hunting license, and no deer tag.... and if I get caught.... I'm in big trouble. That is the law. Private property and permission has nothing to do with it.
Also, do you have the slightest clue what a "boondoogle" (sic) is?
I do know what a "boondoogle" is. I've been on my share. No I don't work on Saturday.... but I'm not the Vice President of the United States either. The question you need to ask is.... does Al Queda work on Saturday's?
I think my wife's was $89 last year...... here in Oklahoma.
"Is it a law in Texas that all people involved in gun accidents be tested for drunkenness?"
I'm no Texas legal expert, but don't you think the average person would have to be tested?
We need to call Kelly O'Donnell on this one
Actually, you can get a "Public Lands" hunting permit with your normal license. The state then allows you access to a bunch of public hunting areas to hunt various game.
I pay the extra $$ every year to do it although I've only taken advantage of it a couple of times and instead hunt on a private lease.
But to be honest, I hadn't heard about this upland fowl stamp before. But I'm looking at my "Super Combo" hunting/fishing license and I see a Red Drum tag, four turkey stamps, five white tail deer tags, two mule deer tags, fresh water fishing, saltwater fishing, archery, public hunt, migratory game bird stamp, and ta-da, the upland game bird stamp.
Guess I'm lucky I always buy the super combo package... yet never use any of it except fishing a bird hunting.
Anyway, the media cracks me up. They are all bent out of shape because they didn't get the story first. I think it is funny that the WH went to FNC to do the interview. I would love to see them do that more often just to tweak the MSMs.... I say screw the MSMs...
There you go..... that's good information. I agree that it's funny they chose Fox for the interview. The standard answer should be ... "Well we just wanted to be interviewed by the cable news network with the most viewers".
MSM want to know "When did Cheney stop beating his wife?"
I do not drink so it would never occur to me.
I'm not saying he is lying about having more than one beer. All I am saying is that no one who hates him will believe anything he says as long as there is a molecule of doubt about it. And they bring up his DWIs from way back when as evidence, as if no Democrat has ever got one.
It is like Cheney said, no matter how he handled the situation, it was a lose lose deal.
She's as bad as Katie.
So what if he did have a beer? It was ONE BEER, with food, several hours before the incident. That said, the story is BS anyway.
?????????
It's gotten so bad that I can't even watch MSNBC at all anymore, and that was my last best hope for news on tele. *FEH* That only really sucks cuz I prefer to watch news while I get ready for work in the morning (or Imus) - but I'm *SO* grateful that Olympics are on these next weeks. I get up and watch Curling now before going to work. :D (and sometimes in the afternoon too)
<< No I don't work on Saturday.... but I'm not the Vice President of the United States either. The question you need to ask is.... does Al Queda work on Saturday's? >>
Hahahaha! So Cheney should never take a day off -- ever? What a load. You remind me of a woman who used to find something to complain about at church, no matter what.
Most pastors get Monday off, since they work on Sunday. This woman complained about my day off, saying, "The devil doesn't take a day off."
I replied: "Maybe that's why he's so ornery. And BTW -- Jesus DID."
That shut her up for good.
