Sure...but it wasn't here on FR that I had that experience. Though, after reading about yours similarl to mine, I might just as well have been and probably would also have been equally maligned had I been here.
Oh, I'm sure someone would claim I "wasn't a conservative" because I dared to find Noonan's indignation about Bush's "God talk" speech too much for her politically-correct ears.
I think that was the most offensive quality about her, that she was presuming that "conservatives" would find inspirational speech from Bush "too" much, or even offensive, off putting.
It was as if she'd swallowed a Hillary Pill overnight. I was, actually, flabberghasted by Noonan's strangely heavy metal response (~but said ever so nicely!~) to the Bush speech.
