Below is another story that features Bill Harlow, an "expert" MSNBC relies on in the article saying:

"..“It certainly shows that he was trying to deceive the U.N., but it doesn't show that he actually had weapons in his possession at the time of the invasion,” says Bill Harlow, a former CIA spokesman and an NBC News.."

Harlow was a CIA spokesman who left when Tenet did. Novak wasn't impressed with his accuracy.

“What the tapes show is that between the first gulf war and the second gulf war, Saddam Hussein had not lost his appetite for, or interest in, weapons of mass destruction,” says Gary Milhollin of the Wisconsin Project, an advocacy group working to slow the spread of weapons of mass destruction. “To the contrary, he was almost obsessed by them.’’

So even if there weren't any WMD, which seems more and more unlikely given this new evidence, it is now absolutely clear that he had every intention of getting them again in the near future.

Why the Left decided to politicize the lack of WMDs when they knew full well that it was still an open question is beyond me. They completely committed to the attack that said Bush lied about WMD despite not being sure of the facts. Many of these libs are lawyers and for lawyers it is common knowledge that you don't ask questions of witnesses that you don't already know the answer to. Just plain dumb.

The MSM doesn't want there to be any proof of Saddam having WMD or the desire to build a WMD program and threaten the US.

I mean, of course I'm kidding, but if there were TAPE of Saddam saying this, they'd deny it! LOL! OK, just kidding!

I think it does go that far, though they would certainly deny it.

One thing that can be hoped for is that there will be enough pressure to release, "35,000 boxes of documents recovered in Iraq after the U.S. invasion."
