Local Blog To Gather Delegate Support For Christy Mihos
Hub Politics (www.hubpolitics.com), a local news and commentary blog, has just launched the Christy Mihos Delegate Pledge Form for delegates attending the Massachusetts GOP State Convention in Lowell on April 29, 2006.
In late January, Lt. Governor and Republican gubernatorial candidate Kerry Healey urged Republican Christy Mihos to run for governor as a Republican, rather than an Independent. In order for Christy Mihos to appear on the primary ballot, he must garner 15% of the votes at the State Convention. With about 3,300 delegates expected to attend, Mihos must carry nearly 500 votes to be guaranteed his spot on the ballot. Short of Lt. Governor Healey’s verbal guarantee of his 15% at the convention, Christy Mihos acknowledged that her guarantee holds no credence, and has been asking delegates who attend his campaign events to sign a pledge to support him at the convention.
With the launch of the Christy Mihos Delegate Pledge Form, we hope to ensure a Republican primary in September by gathering at least 500 delegates to pledge their support for Christy Mihos at the State Convention in April.

We all know that if Mihos runs as a Republican, he will destroy our chances at holding on to the corner office, and we could have Tom Reilly or Deval PAtrick as our governor.... ugh....
