That's one of the best posts that have been put up on FR in the last four days.
Most excellent.

Second that!!!
I guess it's O.K. for a President to lie in front of a grand jury, lie about leaving the Gov't. coffers in surplus, pass on taking the preeminent terrorist in the world(who attacked our country on his watch 2/26/93), reversed the welfare cutting trend from RWR, and 41, and since he wrecked the military like he did indirectly BECAME responsible for 9/11.....
But when the VP purely accidentally shoots someone(and takes responsibility for it),the media wants him out of office?????
WHAT DID I MISS SOMETHING HERE!!!!!

Thanks!
But I really wish it had been put out by the White House to the whole world, instead of by GovernmentShrinker to FReeperland. It's such an obvious angle, and an excellent way to hit back at the press by pointing out that if THEY didn't have such a solid track record of misbehavior, the public release of the story could have been made sooner. But instead the White House stood by and allowed the media to run endless unchallenged stories about how poorly the release was handled. The average American could easily appreciate that if it was THEIR elderly father or grandfather or husband who had been accidentally injured by a famous person whose every sniffle and hangnail gets global press coverage, the LAST thing they would want is for the press to be notified immediately.
