Other than the fact that a sitting vice president hasn't shot anyone since Aaron Burr dispatched Alexander Hamilton, why is Dick Cheney the non-sharpshooter getting so much coverage?
Okay, other than the fact that the comics haven't had so much fun since President Bush choked on a pretzel. (Letterman: "We can't get Bin Laden, but we nailed a 78-year-old attorney.")

Oh come on. This kind of thing doesn't happen every day. It'll blow over in a couple of days when the guy gets out of the hospital.
"Conservatives say this is nothing but a common hunting accident, and they blame journalists for blowing it way out of proportion."
That's exactly what it is. That is why (and this is evidently a HUGE point) the cops weren't that concerned about getting a statement until the next morning. Also, something that the MSM seems to be forgetting is that federal law enforcement agents were already on the scene.
THe Secret Service still counts, don't they? Or are they on a Haliburton payroll sheet someplace, too. /sarc
For that matter, UNTIL the cops get a statement, it SHOULDN'T be reported in the press. . .
The interview by Brit Hume will make the media pygmies look even tinier.
These guys must have brains the size of a bird shot pellet.
And then we've got Hillary bloviating:
"Clinton and other top Democrats say that this is indicative of the Bush administration's tendency to not level with the American people."
The Clintons, turds that they are, have never levelled with the public about anything. They have had a "tendency" to lie about everything.
Howie, Howie, Howie . . .
The Bloviator got it right. What a waste of pixels.
