Jay Severin is taking the Lawrence O'Donnell line that the reason for the delay was for Cheney to sober up.

Severin sucks, and worse he replaced Laura Ingraham from 7-10 PM on WRKO.

Good grief. The man ACCIDENTALLY hurt a friend with a firearm. The friend will recover. No crime was committed. Chency took responsibility. The MSM has shown their complete irrelevance.

What's amazing to me is that puplic perception of what should or shouldn't have been done has been shaped by the White House press corps. And after hearing Cheney and Brit explain it, everything comes in to perspective. Cheney's priority was his friend and his friend's family.

In other words, Cheney did what you're supposed to do not what the media project they would do or be concerned about.
