I think that's why they put him in ICU to begin with.ABC radio news at 2pm EST reported that Whittington IS being kept in the ICU primarily for "privacy" reasons.
They played an audio clip, recorded today, of the Corpus Christi hospital's spokesman saying this. "Mr. Whittington needed some rest after yesterday," the spokesman added.
Must've killed ABC news's staff to have to report that, heh.

The only way these reporters would be happy is if the VP had left his friend in the bushes and called them prior to checking his injuries. This is going to backfire Big Time.

I imagine Scott McClellan probably wished he had a couple of nights in ICU too.

Katharine Armstrong is the daughter of Anne Armstrong, A FORMER DIRECTOR AT HALLIBURTON! There will be much wetting of the pants within the WH press corps over this bit of info.

Scott isn't my favorite person, but I've felt sorry for him with the absolute abuse he's taken.

I heard on the radio that part of the reason the docs are keeping Mr. Whittington in the ICU is for privacy reasons. Obviously the hosiptal understands that the media is nuts.If I was Mr. Wittington, I'd tell the press that I was eager to go hunting with VP Cheney again.......
and make it best 2 out of 3.

Exactly. And it's not up to the White House to be giving a press conference on his condition, like the press clerks seem to think.
The man has privacy rights. I thought liberals believed it that stuff.

Alan Simpson and Dick Cheney are two of my favorite politicians. Stright to the point, no BS. Why can't my native Massachusetts turn up folks like that?
To: frankjr
MATTHEWS: Doesn't he have a special responsibility as someone in line to be President and Vice President of the United States...Did Matthews actually say that? If so, earth to Spitty-Chrissy...Dick Cheney is not someone in line to be Vice President, he already is the VP. Oh, but Chrissy, you MSM types are so superior to us mere mortals that I'm sure you never misspeak.

Dick Cheney...doesn't answer their questions and sometimes he tells them to stuff it... and that's why he should be president one day.

If I leave suddenly as excerpts are being released on FNC, it's because my mother has arrived.
Snugs and Sissy Jane would appreciate a ping to whatever specific comments the Vice President makes to Brit Hume.
Thank you.

CNN reporting that reporters tried to get on Whittington's floor yesterday! I'm assuming Cheney and his people predicted these antics and gave the hospital (along with Whittington and his family) some time to get their act together before the press tried to slither onto the premises.

I think we all have to admit that it's a bit tough to find a Cheney shot, uh, photo where he's not sneering. He has never exactly exuded warmth and good humor,Are we talking about the same man? I have never seen Cheney "sneering" as you say. He is a serious man but with a very funny dry wit. How many "unsneering" photos do you need to see?

Bob Beckel said he couldn't believe the guy brought it up............LOL......and the two hosts of Dayside tried to poopoo "that kind of talk," but the audience applauded!
I can't think of the GOP guy who said it -- he's got red hair and has a radio show.
