As I expected, our Vice President stepped up, accepted the responsibility for this accident, and carried himself very well in doing so.
Dick Cheney is a hunter. For whatever reason, he made an error that many hunters have made. Fortunately, the person who was hit will be OK. Hunters don't deny responsibility. They don't pass blame off on someone else. And they learn from their mistakes.
I'm sure he has replayed this many times in his head, and still can't believe that he made that error. A bird flew by; he tracked it and fired. Sadly, one of the party was in the line of fire.
Good hunting practice was not followed, but that happens from time to time.
I'm betting he never forgets his zone of fire again. I'd hunt with him.

I needed to do the scientific calculations because it was only one beer. I have never had any actual real world experience with less than 6 at a time. I am guessing a shot of Nyquil would have resulted in a higher BAC than a beer.
I turned on Bill O'Reilly's radio show for a while today...and he had on Carl Cameron...who covers the White House for Fox.
Cameron admitted that more than 50% of the White House Press Corp...really hate Bush and go into the pressers looking for a reason to "get him"...over 50%!!!
He said about 10% come from conservative media...who do the opposite...and try to excuse the Bush Administration.
Bill took a call later in the program...and the guy that called was spewing the media talking points that "if Cheney didn't do something more than has been reported...then why didn't he get on TV on Saturday night...blah, blah"..
WELL...I was proud of Bill (for a change)...when he asked the guy.."IF you had heard about this on Saturday, instead of Sunday, what difference would it have made in YOUR life?".....and "IF Cheney gets on TV and apologizes, will it in any way affect YOUR life??"
I sent Sheppard Smith an email telling him we have known his agenda from the start of coming on to FNC. He is a disgrace and a total fraud. I can not stand him.

I think he might be light in the loafers but he's such a drama queen, I'm lost when it comes to his agenda because I've seen him take various sides on various issues.
