I'm listening now.

I've been reading Curt Weldon's book Countdown to Terror.

He feels, and so do a lot of experts, that an EMP is the biggest threat we face now.

Just a single nuclear missle launched off a freighter near the shores of the US, detonating the warhead at high altitude, could achieve an EMP attack against the entire continental US.

The Congressionally established EMP Commission last year warned that an EMP attack is one of the few means available to terrorists for destroying US as a society.

An EMP attack could paralyze all electronic systems across the country, shutting down the infrastructures for power, transportation, communication, food and water. A paralyzed US would cease to be an industrial and military power, and millions of Americans could die of starvation.

NOTE: This is from Weldon's book. Not any testimony we are hearing today.

Ping to Weldon's book as it pertains to EMP, which we talked about earlier today. #125
