Budge is having some fun with you regarding the Presidio of San Francisco. The issue was too hot for local politicians to handle. What the city should have done was buy the surplus property from the feds for $1, then turned around and sold it to private developers. The proceeds would have been sufficient to give every homeless bum a $100,000 trust fund, the interest and dividends from which would have easily funded their alcohol and drug habits. Instead, the California congressional delegation had the property included in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The Coast Guard Base on the beach is now home to The Gorbachev Foundation. George Lucas wangled some kind of sweetheart deal for a film center. Chrissy Field, once an Army Airfield, has been replaced by a marsh land interpretive center. This is one massive real estate charlie foxtrot.
I should have used that picture for the two DVDs of that interview I just burned. Ah well, I can put it on the next batch. :)
Weep not for the fate of the USS Iowa. The city of Stockton will welcome her with open arms. The fresh water of the San Joaquin river will reduce maintenance costs versus SFO Bay. Moreover, she will be closer to California's red counties and neighboring red states where citizens will love her and not insist that she become a display for gay/lesbian and transgendered veterans, as is the quid pro quo for San Francisco.

I'm glad I caught the rerun. That was amazing! It is great that a large audience can see what a looney lefty is like in power. Even allowing for the San Fransisco area, that was truly outrageous.
I caught it too. It was disturbing. It amazes me that individuals like that who are either completely ignorant or who consciously work for the destruction of this country ascent the power structure in CA.
Thanks, KW. I don't feel foolish in having been taken in by Budge's jest about the giveaway to China by Clinton because I wouldn't put anything past the miserable nipple-head. Based on the fate of the Presidio, the Iowa should never be subjected to the indignity of a S.F. berth.
