"This should have been controlled better by Cheney's staff, the story of Cheney shooting an old cronie in a hunting accident had no legs...all they could do was report on the guy's progress."

That's all really well said in hindsight. But I really don't believe that this WH press corps that we have, would be any different with this same story whether they knew about it Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning or Sunday afternoon. Surely you don't think that that.

"That's all really well said in hindsight."

They were making decisions on real time, and with first-hand information. They are also the people paid to estimate hindsight, to calculate the response of the press, the response of the citizens, and to avoid this. They are either not worth the wages they are receiving, or something even weirder is going on.

I can claim hindsight, they don't have a right to, and if you're arguing hindsight, then you've already conceded that it was a bad move.

You can't be the VP's press secretary and be allowed to survive something like this.

Unless of course, Cheney wanted it done this way.

And that is wrong on new and even more disturbing levels.
