McClellan - I'd have to see his statement in context. If he was trying to lay the blame on Whittington, that's wrong. If he was trying to explain to a hostile press what happened and Whittington violated protocol in some way, then his comment has a little more context. It doesn't mean to me that it means Cheney is the victim or innocent here. Whoever holds the gun has the responsibility and I think nearly everyone with a brain in their head understands that.
Nope. Many, many folks here have stated otherwise, which is my objection. It flies in the face of basic gun safety. One poster above said Whittington caused the accident and the VP was "totally innocent." That's just absurd.
