The Secret Service called the local police within, what, 10 minutes of the incident! I guess it's Cheney's fault that they're lazy or slow or they figure that the VPOTUS isn't a flight risk.
Holy crap, these reporters are stupid.
When the Secret Service notified the police, the sheriff asked to speak to Cheney, and was told that they could at 9:00 A.M. the following day.
I would not be able to tell the police, investigating a shooting incident where I pulled the trigger, to come back when it was convenient for me...14 hours later.
