I am not sure VP Cheney wants to stay in office until January 2009 anyways. Why would he want to put up with this crap to begin with anyways?

If Whittington does die, Cheney will feel like crap without having the media around beating him up for 3 years. Wouldn't hold it against him if he did retire.

I'm amazed Cheney even ran for re-election. The lefties hate him much more than Bush or Karl Rove.
