To: Palladin

In Texas people are prosecuted often for involuntary manslaughter for automobile accidents. THIS WAS AN ACCIDENT. But the media will hound Cheney relentlessly as well as the county and state prosecutors. Perhaps a lawyer on this thread might weigh in on this possibility.

My first thought is that no way would Cheney ever resign. I still think it's unlikely, but I don't rule it out entirely. The president relies on him a lot and trusts him completely. Plus, both Pres and VP have broad shoulders and a high putting-up-with-BS ability. But, if it appears that this accident could endanger the 2006 or 2008 elections, I think they will reconsider. The MSM and the left better be careful what they ask for. This could give the president the opportunity to put in someone who is the heir apparent. Cheney, b/c of his own heart condition, isn't.
