Agree, and I certainly hope not. IMO his resignation would be mistaken by the dims for an admission that this was something more than an accident.
I'm not counting on it. I went door-to-door for Bush/Cheney, so anything but. However, I'm a realist, and if they guy dies, the effect will be that Cheney will have to resign as VP. Given the media climate we live in, to think anything else is unrealistic wishful thinking.
