Mr. Whittington needs to be transferred by lifeflight to Texas Heart Institute and have the folks who write the books on this kind of injury take care of him. If a 78 year old man becomes fragile because of hypostatic pneumonia, sepsis, increasing his myocardial infarction, or deep veinous thrombosis or any of a lot of potential complications, he need to have the talent where he is located. Better to transfer now while he is in the best shape, than let him deteriorate, and then transfer him in extremis.

I don't know about Texas, but in my state of PA. it is very rare for someone to be prosecuted over a hunting accident.
Unless of course there is evidence that it was not an accident.
