Heart Catheterization is a Surgical Procedure. My 1 Year old nephew has to have this done following Open Heart Surgery just after Birth. Also it involves injection of dyes for contrast, Cardiac Angiography. Complications may be Heart Attack or Stroke. elderly People are susceptible to these problems, but it is still fairly low risk.

( watched the little wire on the monitor as it wiggled around inside.. never felt a thing.. very weird..)
I know all about heart cath from personal experience. Ten years ago I had a "silent" heart attack, just like Whittington. My docs followed up with a heart cath, and then a triple bypass. I'm in great shape, ten years later.
I think Whittington will do very well.
