It brings tears to my eyes and makes me wonder what the hell I was fighting for? Then I just remember my FReepers and fellow like thinking Americans. I wonder if this girl even realizes (or ever will) that people like Pappy, fought for her right to be an A$$hole!

At some point these little kiddies usually grow up a bit and it starts to dawn on them that the world did not begin with their birth and that there really were a lot of people that made a great many sacrifices so that they are free to be nitwits if they choose. Once reality starts to set in they will be thankful that people such as yourself risked so much so that we have such a great nation today.

I hear what you're saying.I fear that this kid is afflicted with the same "illness"that afflicts so many Europeans today and that is that they're genuinely unaware of (recent and not-so-recent) world history.

I also fear that this fact (assuming I'm correct) increases the likelihood of serious conflict(s) in the near future.
