What is Harris's alternative, continue to prop up tyrants?

Harris supports drilling in ANWR. Unfortunately, given Florida's dependence on tourism, no senator from this state can support drilling off shore and expect to be elected or reelected. Knowing that kamikaze is not Harris' style, it's ridiculous to claim she's supporting tyrants anywhere because she won't commit political suicide.

Republican politicians can't be analyzed, just blindly pull the lever for an (R), eh.

Are you sure your comments are about analysis or, are you a third-party voter who continues to get nothing he wants?

"...no senator from this state can support drilling off shore and expect to be elected or reelected."

Why not?

Of course Harris is for drilling in someone else's State. Heck, a lot of polls show most Floridians are against drilling in ANWR. Should every Senate candidate from Florida default to that position?

The inability to frame a debate is lack of leadership qualities. Just saying "I am against drilling" just because environmentalist have taken over the issue shows lack of leadership and weakness. What is better for the State? For the country? For the people?

Rising gas cost, dependence on foreign oil, having tyrants of other countries prosper (Due to our dependence) because Floridians are too ignorant along with their representatives, etc...

If America was more self reliant on our energy needs one would think we would not have to bend backwards for the Saudis, Chavez and the rest of OPEC hence propping up all those "bastions of freedom".

Another thing, I 'might' vote for Harris instead of Nelson but will never openly support (Verbally or monetary).

I hate to hold my nose but I will still point out this issue regarding Harris.

As for third parties if Republicans keep sucking the tit of big government and regulations they will start losing elections. Pretty soon conservative are doing to split.

Keep supporting lukewarmness and big government (Like it or not), it always turns into vomit. Sometimes people must take a stand and send the party a message. Too bad you are willing to sacrifice conservative principles so victorious wishy washy moderates can play with your hard earned dollars. (How many truly conservative Senators are there, eh?) Yet you want more moderate crap.

"The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it." P.J. O'Rourke

Much too close to the truth.
