I look at my two kids and realize the kind of government they are going to get.
I like Roberts and Alito. I also like the very conservative judges Bush has appointed to our appeals courts. I also like the fact that, finally, a free world leader has taken on Islamofacism. I like my tax cuts since it allows me to save more for my kids college and may even allow me to leave my wealth to them instead of the government. You must be missing the incredible economic growth we are experiencing that makes us the envy of the world. Yes, the spending is a lot more than I'd like. Since 2001, our external debt has increased by $2 trillion. Our household net worth however, has increased by more than $10 trillion during the same time period. You don't need to be a math major to see the benefits here. If your net worth was growing 5 times faster than your debt, would you be happier?
Even if you only see bad everywhere, you must be deriving some pleasure from watching the Dem party implode as they habitually genuflect to the demands of the radical idealists who control their party.

You mean like George Washington? Although his prose needed buffing, the master of Mount Vernon possessed drive; deeply held, carefully thought-out values; and an extraordinary ability to get things done. Most of all, Washington was a cold-eyed pragmatist.
