I see them all the time in Sarasota and Venice. Myakka is always a good bet to see bald eagles.

I went to a wedding in Columbia, SC a month ago and saw one flying over the church. At the same time, 10 young Marine officers had their swords drawn, sending off the bride and groom. Cool!

We see nesting pairs of Bald Eagles here on the Chesapeake Bay on a regular basis.

Probably not preferred real estate for them. . .this is prime osprey territory (fish eagles)and they are major enemies.(Flash back to scene of Clinton with 'recovered' eagle being returned to the wild. . .bird takes off. . .Oh, no! Shot down by osprey!)
